Milda & Izmir wanted to capture the beautiful Edinburgh skyline in their wedding photography session the day after their wedding and I suggested Calton Hill for it’s fabulous 360 degree views over the city. On a clear day the views over the city centre, Arthur’s seat and the Firth of Forth are fantastic. Milda & Izmir got married in the South of England back in November, I’ve been planning to blog this for some time! Their wedding was held in an indoor venue so they really wanted to do a lovely outdoor photography session that took full advantage of the wonderful Edinburgh scenery. Their original plan involved a vintage VW camper van but that didn’t happen in the end! Thankfully they were absolutely thrilled with my choice of location and I had some beautiful late afternoon light to work with. One of the most rewarding aspects of working as a portrait photographer in Edinburgh is having the opportunity to show visitors to the city the best locations. As you can see Milda & Izmir had carefully planned their outfits and I loved their quirky style ! Milda’s pairing of leather jacket with cocktail dress was inspired and her fresh flower head dress was beautiful. I had a lot of fun on this shoot, what a lovely couple and so sweet together!
