A look back at some of my highlights of 2015. I thought it would be nice to kick off the new year with a bit of a look back at some of my favourite shots of last year. 2015 was a great one for me work wise and we also had some fantastic trips as a family. There was rarely a dull moment, I photographed proposals, christenings, weddings, engagements, zoo animals, babies, extended families and even Miss India. Needless to say I’ve been busy! So in no particular order, here goes…..
I’m lucky enough to meet some really inspiring people through my work and Emma was definitely one of them.
A lovely moment between these sisters. Believe or not this was taken in November!
I was commissioned to photograph Ian and his wife Ingrid by their niece. as an 80th birthday present. They’re such a lovely couple and Ian made a great subject, such a sparkle in his eyes!
This is exactly how an eight year old should be spending his weekends.
I love more documentary style new born shoots, there’s so many lovely moments to be captured in those early days.
This shot really captures the freedom and fun that the kids have at our local community garden in Leith. How many kids can you get in a Christiania bike? !
An uncharacteristically coy moment from my niece Evy in Seattle. Very cute….
Some beautiful light and smiles for this lovely family session. It has to be said that the smiles did not come easy on this occasion!
I just love the colours and Olivia’s expression in this shot. Another lovely Autumn session.
Miss India injecting a bit of glamour into the Grassmarket!
We had some lovely light for this business portrait shoot with Cara.
I loved photographing this gorgeous boy – that hair!
A favourite from the Edinburgh Zoo nights. I can’t remember this little fella’s name but he was extremely cute!
A lovely pop of colour in a sea of grey at a wedding last Summer.
I love this, it sums up working with twins perfectly !
Love the toes!
I love this sweet little moment, captured on a beautiful day in October.
A lovely Mummy and baby shot. I love getting outside with babies when the weather cooperates.
I had great fun at this wedding. Cathy looked amazing in her fabulous dress and spent the entire proceedings grinning from ear to ear !
One of my favourites of Francis taken on Vancouver Island last Summer. He has the cutest gappy toothed smile at the moment.
This was a really lovely shoot with these gorgeous boys at one of my favourite beach locations in East Lothian.
I love this family shot !
I really love this shot. There’s just something really sweet about that unreciprocated hug!
The joy of the swing!
I spent a day photographing Miss India in and around Edinburgh in October last year which was quite an experience! I like this simple shot taken during one of the more low key shoots of the day !
I loved this family shoot at the Museum of Modern Art. One of my first of 2015.
I spent a couple of fun evenings capturing the action at the zoo nights events at Edinburgh Zoo in June.
We had the best Autumn this year and this was one of my favourite family sessions of the season.
I really like the composition of this one, taken at Lisa & Dougie’s wedding last Summer.
A favourite from a shoot for The Pantry in Stockbridge.
You have no idea how hard it was to get these two in the same shot!
Long grass, lovely light. What’s not to like ?!
This is a favourite from a great bridal shoot I did at Malmaison early last year. I managed to eke out every little bit of available light on a very dull day in a dark interior !
