“I hate having my photo taken.” That’s something almost every single one of my clients has said. If you feel the same, don’t worry—you’re definitely not alone! I specialise in personal brand and business photography in Edinburgh, and my goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and at ease in front of the camera.

During your session, I’ll create images that show the real you. Professional, approachable, and full of personality.

You’ll finish the session with a bank of versatile images you can use across your social media platforms, website, brochures, and marketing materials. Whether it’s a portrait, a behind-the-scenes shot of you working, or a relaxed, natural image in an Edinburgh location, every photo will help communicate your brand and bring it to life.

I’ve been working with small to medium-sized local businesses, multinationals, and charities for over 10 years, helping them communicate who they are through engaging, professional photography. The organisations I’ve collaborated with include Edinburgh Zoo, Haven Holidays, The Scottish Book Trust, and The National Museum of Scotland, among others.

Over the years, I’ve translated each client’s values and vision into images that enhance their brand, engage their audience, and tell their story visually. Whether it’s capturing the people behind the business, documenting events, or creating content for marketing campaigns, I focus on creating images that are both authentic and effective.

Your Questions, Answered

Don’t worry, very few people like having their photo taken. I try and keep things as relaxed as possible during the shoot so that you’ll be more comfortable in front of the camera. 

Make sure that you’re comfortable and think about what colours suit you and work with your branding. Avoid red if possible as it can really dominate an image. It’s good to keep things as simple as possible, solid colours, spots / stripes or patterns are good but logos or distracting motifs are to be avoided. I would recommend bringing along a change of clothing or some different accessories ( scarves, ties, etc) 

We’ll discuss options before the session. I have locations that I know work well for particular types of shoot. I’m also happy to go with your choice if you have a place that you would like to meet. 

If you need to reschedule your session due to illness please just let me know as soon as possible.  

I’ll be keeping a close eye on the forecast so we’ll make a call on the weather as soon as we can and I’ll give you the option of rescheduling, if it’s not looking good.

Your photos will be supplied as print and web ready jpgs and will be uploaded to a password protected gallery. You’ll be able to download them from the gallery. 

No, you’ll be able to download all of the images that I upload to your gallery. 

Each image will be individually edited and some light retouching may be applied. 

Your photos will be edited and ready to view within two weeks, but if you’re working to a specific deadline, please let me know.

Yes! I’m happy to schedule a Zoom call or a phone call, so we can have a chat before you go ahead and book me. 

A deposit is payable in advance for personal brand shoots and I’ll invoice you for the remaining balance on delivery of your photos. 

Yes, for public liability and professional indemnity. 

We found Rachel through a google search for local photographers and after being really impressed with her website and portfolio dropped her a line.
