From playful family moments and senior or graduation portraits to intimate couple sessions, engagement shoots, and unforgettable proposal sessions, my approach is warm, unobtrusive, and authentic. Whether you’re a local or visiting Edinburgh for a holiday, milestone, or once in a lifetime trip, we can wander cobbled streets or find quiet corners of the city to create beautiful, timeless images that you will cherish.

My shoots are fun and informal – your session is all about you and your favourite people enjoying your time together.

My focus will be on making sure you feel at ease and creating images that reflect who you are, and the connection between you as honestly as possible. I will offer some direction, but awkward posing is not my bag!

Family Sessions

Family sessions last one to two hours. For larger families or those with younger children, I recommend a longer session—little ones often need a bit more time to settle in and show their personalities! That said, I always work around how you’re feeling on the day.

Longer sessions mean we can capture a wide variety of images, from natural candid moments to portraits and we can give everyone a chance to shine!

We can shoot at home, somewhere outdoors you love, or I can suggest some of my favourite Edinburgh locations if you don’t have a spot in mind.

Couples

Although these sessions are perfect for engagements, they’re not just for couples planning a wedding! They’re also a wonderful way to treat yourselves to a shared experience and capture your connection in a relaxed, fun way.

If you’re visiting Scotland, your shoot will give you a unique, personalised memento of your trip. Sessions typically last one to two hours, and we can use any Edinburgh landmark, street, or stunning skyline as your backdrop. Whether you love green spaces, beaches, or dramatic city views, there’s a location to suit your style and the mood you want to capture.

I’m also happy to travel to other parts of Scotland—any excuse for a little adventure! Travel expenses apply.

Maternity & Baby Sessions

Maternity sessions usually last around an hour and can take place in the comfort of your home or in a beautiful outdoor location. These sessions are all about celebrating this special time in your life, capturing the excitement and anticipation as you await your little one.

The best time for a maternity shoot is typically in your last trimester, around 7–8 months. By then, your bump will be beautifully pronounced, but hopefully you’re still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy your session.

Baby sessions – 6 months + 

The ideal time to book a baby session is usually around 6–8 months, when your little one can sit up unaided but hasn’t yet started crawling away. This stage is perfect for capturing those adorable expressions and the tiny details of their personality while they’re still stationary!

Don’t worry if you miss this “sweet spot”, sessions can be just as magical at any age up to 18 months. Older babies are more mobile and curious, so I simply adapt the session to keep things fun, relaxed, and safe, working around their energy and mood to capture genuine smiles, cuddles, and playful moments.

Albums & Prints

I offer a wide range of prints, products, and albums that you can easily order through your online gallery. To make your images truly special, I also provide a framing and album design service.

I highly recommend having some of your favourite photos professionally printed, there’s nothing like holding your memories in your hands and seeing them come to life. My fine art prints and handcrafted albums are made to last and are a wonderful way to preserve your special moments. They’re more than just photos—they’re keepsakes that you and your family will treasure for years to come, and definitely worth the investment! Overseas shipping is available for all prints and albums, so no matter where you are, you can enjoy your images in a tangible, lasting way.

All Packages include:

A beautiful gallery to share with family and friends. Youʼll be able to view your edited photos in the online gallery and share them on social media if you wish. 

The high-resolution digital files that you choose as part of your package will be available to download from your gallery as print-ready jpgs. 

Individually edited photographs, each one digitally enhanced and edited in a mixture of black and white and colour. 

The option of keeping your gallery online so you can view, keep, and share your photos with ease.

Your edited photographs will be ready to view within 3 weeks of your session. 

Payment & Rescheduling

A £150 deposit is required to secure your booking with the remaining balance due on delivery of your gallery.

Payment is by BACS transfer or Paypal / credit card for international clients. 

If you need to cancel your booking or reschedule due to illness, please give me as much notice as possible. 

If you have an outdoor shoot planned and the weather is not cooperating I’ll give you the option to reschedule. If you are visiting Edinburgh and we are unable to reschedule your session, I will refund your deposit. 

Gift Vouchers

Looking for the perfect gift for someone who’s tricky to buy for? Gift vouchers are a thoughtful and flexible option, available in any denomination to suit your needs. They can be used for any of my photography sessions – family, couples, maternity, proposals, or portraits, making them a truly personal and memorable present.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving plenty of time for the recipient to choose the session that’s right for them. For more details, or to purchase a gift voucher please get in touch I’ll be happy to help you create a gift that will be treasured for years to come.

Your Questions, Answered

Family sessions last one to two hours. Maternity, baby and portrait sessions last up to an hour. Sessions for couples last one to two hours, depending on the type of shoot that you book.

For spring, summer and Autumn shoots I would recommend booking as soon as you can. Although I do sometimes have last minute availability.

A £150 deposit is payable in advance of your session and the remaining balance will be due once you’ve received your gallery.

We’ll discuss all the options before your session. I have plenty of favourite locations around Edinburgh that I know work beautifully at different times of the year, and I’m also happy to go with your choice if there’s a special place you’d like to include.

If you’re visiting Edinburgh, I can help you choose the perfect locations to make the most of your time in the city, whether you’re after iconic landmarks, charming streets, or hidden gems.

Make sure you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing, and give some thought to colours. If there will be several people in the photos, aim for complementary tones rather than matching exactly. Avoid bright red, as it can dominate an image, and keep things simple—solid colours, subtle patterns like spots or stripes, and minimal textures work best. Try to steer clear of logos or distracting motifs, so the focus stays on you and the connection between everyone in the shot.

There is no limit on number of people, but please bear in mind that the more people that are included in the shoot the less time there is for everyone, so do think carefully about what you would like to get out of the session.

If you need to reschedule your session due to illness please just let me know as soon as possible. Don’t worry, I understand that kids will often fall ill just before a well planned photo shoot! If your child is unwell it will show up in the photos and they are likely to be a wee bit grumpy, so I would rather wait until they’re feeling and looking better!

I’ll be keeping a close eye on the forecast so we’ll make a call on the weather as soon as we can and I’ll give you the option of rescheduling, if it’s not looking good.

If you’re visiting Edinburgh and we are unable to reschedule your session your deposit will be refunded.

Typically I will upload around 75 edited images from a one hour session and around 100 images from a two hour session.

Your gallery will be ready to view up to 3 weeks after the session and will be online for 12 months.

When I edit a shoot I’ll select the images that work well in black & white and convert them during post-production. Some images will work better in colour and some are better in black & white. Sometimes an image will work both ways!

Yes ! I have a wide range of wall art and frame options that can be ordered through your gallery. I also offer a framing service.
