A Winter Wedding at the City Chambers and the Biscuit Factory, Edinburgh

Heather & Scott were married on a crisp February day in Edinburgh, with their ceremony taking place in the beautiful European Room at the City Chambers. Winter weddings have such a special atmosphere, and this one was no exception, calm, cosy, and full of warmth and laughter from start to finish.

After the ceremony, we stepped straight out onto the Royal Mile, which on a busy Saturday afternoon is always full of surprises. You never quite know what you’re going to get, and that’s part of the magic. One of my favourite moments from the day was when the Silent Disco happened to be passing by, instantly becoming an unforgettable (and very fun) part of Heather & Scott’s wedding story. It was such a perfect reflection of their laid-back, joyful approach to the day.

The celebrations continued at the Biscuit Factory in Leith, a venue I absolutely love. It’s such a cool, creative space and works brilliantly for relaxed, informal weddings. The atmosphere suited Heather & Scott perfectly, easygoing, fun, and full of energy.

There were also so many thoughtful, personal touches throughout the day. Scott’s guitar teacher, Ben, played during the ceremony. Their wedding cake was lovingly made by Scott’s brother and sister-in-law, and one of the biggest surprises came from Heather’s parents, who arranged a fabulous vintage VW van, a brilliant addition and a real crowd pleaser.

From start to finish, Heather & Scott’s wedding was a wonderful reminder that winter weddings in Edinburgh can be just as vibrant, heartfelt, and fun as any summer celebration. And as always, photographing a Biscuit Factory wedding was an absolute joy.
