Sophie & Craig | Dunglass Estate
A Summer Wedding at Dunglass Estate East Lothian
Sophie and Craig were married at the stunning Dunglass Estate in East Lothian on a beautiful August day, and what an incredible day it was. From the moment I arrived, it was clear their Dunglass Estate wedding was going to be full of personality, joy, and a few brilliant surprises that made it completely their own.
One of my favourite moments came as Sophie and Craig made their entrance into the wedding breakfast, proudly brandishing their custom made weapons of choice—an axe for Craig and an impressively large sword for Sophie! It was such a fun, unexpected moment and perfectly reflected their playful, relaxed approach to the day.
The estate is absolutely beautiful, and thankfully the East Lothian weather played along too. As the day unfolded, we were treated to the most gorgeous evening light, the kind you always hope for when photographing a summer wedding in Scotland. Videographer Ollie and I managed to sneak the newlyweds away for a few quiet minutes, just long enough to capture some relaxed, candid portraits as the sun dipped behind the trees.
Sophie and Craig’s wedding was a truly joyful celebration, filled with heartfelt moments, lots of laughter, and thoughtful, personal touches throughout. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph such a brilliant couple at one of East Lothian’s most beautiful wedding venues. A perfect mix of emotion, fun, and personality—exactly the kind of day I love documenting as an East Lothian and Edinburgh wedding photographer.
